AME CET 2024: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern

As the name suggests, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test (AME CET) is an entrance exam to provide admissions into aviation universities and institutions nationwide. For the unversed, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulates the exam under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India, AICTE, and UGC. Important Dates

To apply for AME CET 2024, students must first know the important dates. The applications must be submitted on or before the last date. Even if the application is submitted after the last date, it will be rejected.

Eligibility Criteria 

Students who secure good scores in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test are given 100% scholarships. Here are the eligibility criteria to apply:

• The applicant must be between 14 and 28 years old to apply.
• Each candidate can only attempt the exam three times.
• License category applicants must have 12th in PCM.
• Engineering category applicants must have 12th in PCM/PCB.
• Candidates who choose graduation category courses must have a 12th in any stream for BBA courses and a 12th in PCM for B.Sc courses.
• 10th qualification is required for diploma students.
• 12th is the minimum qualification for the certification category.

AME CET 2024 Exam Pattern

By knowing the exam pattern beforehand, you can plan your preparation hassle-free.

• The question paper comprises 90 multiple-choice questions.
• The questions will be given in both Hindi and English language.
• Students can appear for the exam in both online and offline modes.
• The exam duration is 1 hour 30 minutes.
• Online and offline exams are held on the same dates, and there will be 40 exam centers nationwide for offline candidates.
• The question paper consists of 90 questions.
• The exam will be held for a total of 360 marks.

Examination Fee

• The registration fee for this entrance exam is Rs. 1600/- for male candidates of general and OBC categories.
• The exam fee is Rs.1400/- for female candidates of all categories, including the SC/ST category.

Online Mode

• Visit the official website of AME CET – www.amecet.in.
• Click on the “Apply Now” button, and it will open a new page.
• Enter the basic information like name, email ID, mobile number, city, state, and password.
• The candidate must upload the passport-size photograph, pay the application fee, and submit the application form.
• After paying the exam fee, the candidate will receive a message with the registration number to the registered mobile number or email ID.

Offline Mode

Applicants can also apply for the entrance test through offline mode. The process is as follows:

• Go to the nearest AME CET-approved center and buy the application form.
• Fill out the application form with the basic details and attest your passport-size photograph.
