The APSCHE is all set to announce the Andhra Pradesh PG Engineering Common Entrance Test 2024 exam date. It is expected that the AP PGECET will be held in May 2024. The AP PGECET is a state-level entrance examination managed by Sri Venkateswara University under the authority of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is conducted for admission to M.Tech/ M .Pharm/ D. Pharma courses in Andhra Pradesh.

AP PGECET 2024 Examination Pattern

The examination pattern of the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test is as follows:

  • Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test
  • Duration: Two Hours
  • Medium: English
  • Question Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Total Number of Questions: 120
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct response is awarded one mark, with no penalty for an incorrect answer.

AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be eligible to write the exam, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Residents of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. Candidates must possess a relevant Bachelor’s qualifying degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
  3. Candidates pursuing a B. Tech or B. Pharm course or its equivalent will be eligible for admission to relevant M. E / M.Tech/ M. Pharma courses.
  4. There is no specified upper age limit; however, candidates should be at least 21 years old to be eligible to apply.

Eligibility for admission to M. E /M. Tech/ M. Pharm:

  1. Candidates must have qualified AP PGECET in the relevant test paper for the course to which they seek admission.
  2. Mere appearance in the exam does not guarantee admission unless candidates satisfy all eligibility requirements and other related criteria.
  3. Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for candidates from AP.
  4. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified GATE / GPAT based on their test scores while filling college seats. The remaining seats will be filled based on AP PGECET merit ranks.

Application Fees:

Qualified applicants may exclusively submit their applications online, accompanied by the requisite application fee. The fee structure is as follows:

Note: Candidates had the opportunity to submit the application form with a late fee of Rs. 500, Rs. 2000, and Rs. 5000, respectively.

AP PGECET 2024 Application form: How to Apply?

Below are the steps for candidates to fill out the application form:

  1. To apply online log on to the official website i.e. sche.ap.gov.in.
  2. Begin by paying the application fee. Payment can be made online (via net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline through AP Online Centers.
  3. After the application fee payment, candidates can proceed with the AP PGECET application process.
  4. Candidates must provide personal information, communication details, and details of their qualifying examination, you will have option to select preferred exam center.
  5. Upload your scanned photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines.
  6. Once all required information and documents are provided, candidates must submit their AP PGECET 2024 application form.
  7. Safely keep the generated registration number for future reference. Additionally, candidates are required to produce a printout of the filled application form at the examination venue.
