NERIST Entrance Exam: Application Form, Eligibility, Pattern 2024

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology conducts the Entrance Examination (NEE 2024), an offline entrance exam administered across the North Eastern States. This exam is organized for admission to various programs, including B.Tech, B.Tech LE, B.Sc (Hons.) in Forestry, and certificate courses.

NEE is conducted for admission to certificate courses, B.Tech & B.Sc (Hons.) in Forestry and B.Tech Lateral Entry, respectively. The institute has released the entrance exam application form, which can be accessed online on the official website until March 26.

Why NEE 2024?

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Entrance Examination is a state-level entrance exam conducted using pen and paper. NEE Exam Date

  1. Online submission of application forms: January 8, 2024, to March 26, 2024
  2. Date for downloading of Admit Card by the candidates from the portal: April 6, 2024
  3. NEE – II & III: April 20, 2024 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  4. NEE – I: April 21, 2024 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Syllabus: The entrance exam paper is designed based on the curriculum and syllabus of the Intermediate. The syllabus for B. Tech aspirants includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while for B.Sc (H) Forestry aspirants, it includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

NERIST Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria for NEE I are as follows:

  • Candidates must have appeared/passed Class X/Madhyamic/Secondary with Science and Mathematics.
  • The maximum age limits as of July 31, 2024, are as follows:
  • General category: 19 years (born on or after August 1, 2005)
  • OBC and female applicants: 22 years (born on or after August 1, 2002)
  • ST/SC/PD: 24 years (born on or after August 1, 2000).

The eligibility criteria for NEE II are as follows:

  • Candidates must have appeared/passed Class XII/Higher Secondary/Sr. Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
  • The maximum age limits as of July 31, 2024, are as follows:
  • General category: 23 years (born on or after August 1, 2001)
  • OBC and female applicants: 26 years (born on or after August 1, 1998)
  • ST/SC/PD: 28 years (born on or after August 1, 1996).

The eligibility criteria for NEE III are as follows:

  • Candidates must have appeared/passed a 3-year Diploma.
  • The maximum age limits as of July 31, 2024, are as follows:
  • General category: 30 years (born on or after August 1, 1994)
  • OBC and female applicants: 33 years (born on or after August 1, 1991)
  • ST/SC/PD: 35 years (born on or after August 1, 1989).

Application Fees

  • For General/OBC/EWS candidates: Rs 1,500
  • For ST/SC/PD candidates: Rs 1,000.

NEE 2024 Application form: How do you apply?

Here are the steps to complete the online application form:

  1. Register on the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Application Portal at www.neeonline.ac.in.
  2. Activate your online application using the provided activation code sent to your registered email ID or mobile number.
  3. Select the type and name of the program and verify eligibility.
  4. Proceed to fill in the application form with the required details.
  5. Upload scanned image files of your photograph and signature per the specified dimensions and formats.
  6. Provide your academic information in the designated section.
  7. Select your preferred examination center.
