Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test 2024 (UPCATET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by one of the participating universities in UPCATET. This exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and related disciplines offered by the participating colleges and universities in Uttar Pradesh. Why UPCATET 2024?

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test is a state-level admission exam conducted using the pen-and-paper method. It is organized by one of the participating universities in UPCATET to fill seats in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the field of agriculture in Participating Universities and colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
To gain admission to the specified courses in agriculture, appearing in the UPCATET 2024 examination is a must. Courses offered through UPCATET are:

UPCATET 2024 Exam Syllabus

  • The syllabus for undergraduate courses in the entrance exam is based on the intermediate syllabus of the UP Board for the related subjects.
  • For postgraduate courses, the syllabus is based on the graduate course curriculum of the related subject.
  • For Ph.D. programs, the syllabus is based on the postgraduate course curriculum of the related subject.

UPCATET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria for various courses are detailed as follows:

  1. For BSc (Honours) Agriculture, BSc (Honours) Horticulture, and BSc (Honours) Forestry, applicants need to have passed Intermediate with subjects like Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB).
  2. For Bachelor in Fisheries Science (BFSc), candidates must have completed Class 12 with subjects like Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB).
  3. BSc (Honours) Home Science: Candidates should have passed Intermediate in the Arts stream with Home Science/ PCB/ PCM/ PCMB/ Agricultural Science subject to be eligible for the exam. Only female candidates can opt for this course, as per the official website.

Age limit: Applicants should be between 16 and 22 years old as of December 31, 2024, to be eligible for most courses. However, for the BVSc & H course, candidates must be at least 17 years old but not more than 25 years old as of December 31, 2024. It is important to note that candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC category are eligible for a five-year age relaxation for any course they apply for.

UPCATET Examination Application Fees

The application fees are as follows:

  • For General, EWS, and OBC Male candidates Rs. 1350
  • For SC, ST candidates, and female applicants of all categories, 1100

Note: Candidates are required to make the payment online through net banking.

UPCATET 2024 Application form: How to Apply?

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee: Candidates need to pay the application fee online through net banking, debit card, or credit card. The application fee varies for different categories, as mentioned in the brochure.

Step 5: Submission: After completing the application form and making the fee payment, candidates are advised to thoroughly review all entered details. Once satisfied, they can proceed to submit the application form online. Upon successful submission, candidates must download and print the confirmation page generated by the system.
